ODO 59: Puppies, Pants, Porn Stars, and Penmanship

This week we seem to have a new addition around the house in the form of a stray dog. I've got a bit of a rant about the Duggar family. A theme of sexual "misconduct" from live sexual harassment and a cross dressing contest winner to a Navy porn actor. Plus a couple lessons from dumb criminals, and this week's featured podcast, "Within the Wires."

-Around the House-

This week we may possibly be getting a new puppy. And by that I mean, We've probably just gotten a new puppy. Long story short, my sister saw a stray puppy on the side of a busy road. She picked it up and had it checked out with her vet friends, but she can't keep a dog in her apartment. So, here we come, as the only ones nearby with a house, and for some reason the inability to say no when she needs to unload animals. She's making flyers and posting up on lost dog pages and things. But, in the mean time, we are puppy sitting. Of course if nobody claims this dog, we have another dog.

-Entertainment News-

Long story short, in the small militia that is the Duggar family, women can only wear knee length skirts. Jinger Duggar's husband disagrees and allows her to wear pants (because modesty.) For some idiotic reason, fans are enraged.

The same day as Bill O'Reilly was fired over sexual harassment claims, co-host of "The Five," Greg Gutfeld, told co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle, live on air, that she was "giving America a raise."

-BS FROM THE NEWS-

A 20 year old man won a women's lingerie photo contest after he and his girlfriend entered him as a joke. The man naturally has very feminine features and the couple thought it would be a funny gag. His girlfriend even did his makeup and picked the clothes.

(Even out of lingerie, he still gets mistaken for a woman.)
A highly decorated Navy SEAL, and husband to porn star Jewels Jade, is being investigated for his part-time porn career. Of course, it's not the porn that is being investigated, but whether or not he had the required authorization to work outside of his Navy job. According to Jade, he was simply helping her career by doing the movies in place of hiring other performers.

-JACKASS OF THE WEEK-

An investigation into an Alaska dentist found video of him extracting a tooth of a patient while riding a "hoverboard." Strangely enough, the investigation wasn't for malpractice, but for medicaid fraud. Apparently he had billed medicaid for nearly $2 million for unnecessary IV sedation.

An Ohio robber's handwriting was so bad on his note that the clerk couldn't read it. The Family Dollar clerk had to hand it back to him to read aloud. He then got away with all of the clerk's money and a pack of cigarettes. The lesson here seems to be, penmanship counts.

-RECOMMENDED LISTENING-

Within The Wires

http://www.nightvalepresents.com/withinthewires/

"Set within an alternate reality, “Within the Wires” tells stories in the guise of instructional audio programs. Season One, “Relaxation Cassettes," is a 10 part scripted fiction podcast that takes the form of an audio course on full body relaxation issued by The Institute to you, (the listener) a nameless medical inmate. Who is this narrator? Is she relaying something more than just relaxation techniques, and is she to be trusted? And are there subliminal messages hidden within the music? As listeners move through the relaxation curriculum a deeper and more personal story unravels."
